On Saturday, August 11th, we held our 2nd Annual “One-Fly” Competition on Catoctin Creek. The weather was great and everyone had fun. Ray Ouellette was the winner as he caught 28 fish during the 4 hours of the competition. On the right is a picture of Ray’s fly and a bunch of pebbles. Why the pebbles you ask? Every time Ray catches a fish; he puts a pebble in his pocket. When he’s done fishing, he knows how many fish he has caught by the number of pebbles in his pocket. Congratulations Ray!
Andy Mekelburg came in second with 10 fish caught.
