On December 17th, our Project Healing Waters Program came together for what will become the annual Christmas Party. It was a potluck event and although you never know what you are going to get (just like fishing), this turned into an unbelievable spread. In addition to the food, there was an incredible energy in the room, members sharing their fishing stories from this past year as well as being excited about what was being planned for 2020.
Speaking of 2020, in addition to outings and perfecting their fly fishing skills, members will be competing in a National Fly Tying Competition for Project Healing Waters. As with all challenges the Frederick Program has faced, the have come together as a team and embraced this challenge.
This coming year, please take a moment and think of all the sacrifices our military men and women have made and keep the Project Healing Waters Community in your hearts and minds.
If you have any questions or would like to participate in any of our upcoming fly tying sessions at Fort Detrick, please reach out to me at any time or go to our Facebook page. Search for Project Healing Waters – Frederick Program.
