We hope you can join us at this month’s outdoor meeting on Tuesday, May 14, at 6 p.m. for our Annual Casting Clinic. Instruction will be led by Fly Fishers International Certified Casting Instructor William Ruland and other members of the Bob Abraham Casting Club, an arm of the Antietam Fly Anglers of Maryland (check out their Facebook page and join the regular Saturday morning casting sessions at the Williamsport High School). All levels of instruction will be provided.
Improving your casting techniques can help you catch more fish and will certainly make your time on the water more enjoyable. While we can’t guarantee you will cast like a Rajeff after this clinic, we can guarantee you’ll walk away with improved skills that will help you make better casts on the stream.
This casting clinic will be held at the same location as last year. Meet at 6 p.m. at the upper parking lot of the Catoctin Creek Park & Nature Center (2929 Sumantown Rd, Middletown, MD 21769).
There is plenty of room on the upper field to spread out and keep a safe distance. So bring your fly rod, a sturdy leader, and a bit of yarn and join us for a great opportunity to improve your fly casting. Also, it may be hot so you may want to bring something to drink.
Hope to see you on the 14th!
