At our July 17 Advanced Fly Tying get together, we will be tying the Sunken Cicada, designed by George Daniel. The cicadas are out again this summer in some parts of the country, so I thought this would be fun to tie. in contrast to the more commonly tied floating cicada — this fly is designed to sink a couple of inches below the surface.
