Topic: Reading the Water: Reflections on Three Decades of Fish Conservation Policy
After a distinguished career of more than 30 years leading Trout Unlimited’s national conservation policy work, Steve Moyer, Vice President for Government Affairs, will reflect on the successes and future challenges for saving fish and their habitat. From Bristol Bay to the Klamath dams, from the Clean Water Act to the Endangered Species Act, and from the first Bush administration to the Biden administration, Steve has been at the forefront of every major fishery conservation battle and will draw on his experiences to offer a hopeful message for the future of fish conservation.
This is a rare opportunity to hear from one of the most influential national conservation policy experts in Washington. Steve is retiring in February, so take this opportunity to speak with someone who has answers for YOUR questions about conservation policy. National conservation policy impacts land use and water quality everywhere linking directly to local and destination fishing options. SVTU is privileged and excited to host this event and invites others with coldwater conservation and fishing interests to join us.
