Town Creek, MD Outing

Location: Upper Stocked section of Town Creek, near Flintstone, MD

Details:  We will meet at the Sideling Hill Rest Stop & Welcome Center (west bound) on 68 past Hancock at 8:30am. From there, it’s about a 45 minute drive to the stream. We will fish from 9:30 until around 3:00. Equipment/Flies: 4,5 or 6wt rods are perfect. Bring woolly buggers, black, green and olive, stonefly nymphs, copper johns, pheasant tail and other common nymphs. Also, bring dry flies in case there’s a hatch, like caddis and BWO’s. FYI: Stream is best fished when water level is 3’ or lower. Above 3.5’ is not safe to fish.
